overproduction of tC?
every school has haters bro and there will always be people that talk ____...the only way you get past that is you DONT WORRY ABOUT IT...if they talk ____ and say you copied then WHO CARES...do somethin to your car to make it different then...besides once the tC starts selling nobody will care who had it first anymore...if it actually gets down to the point where someone f*cks with your car then you find out who it is and bring this kid down...and as for people trying to steal your girlfriend?...come on are you kidding me...if you cant trust your girlfriend why are you with her
It wouldn't be. Civics, Integras, and Eclipses aren't fast cars, even thinking about racing against one means your car sucks.

I could quote numbers, but I'll just keep it short and say yes, for the most part those are not fast cars. If you want to bring up engine rebuilding or more productive mods, then any car can be a 12 sec car. There's a school bus here than can beat a lot of cars. I've seen a fiat hit low 11's. Go carts can beat anything. A very small % of the civic and integra owners would "go all out" and do engines swaps or mods that would make them a 12 sec car. That's a fast car, but that's not what you'll ever roll up to when you want to race a civic at a stoplight. Plus, he thought he could spank those those by just adding a turbo. Tell me that's not ridiculous.

You're pathetic. You're on the internet whining about stuff that hasn't even happened. Don't get a nice car. Drive a beater all through high school, becuase there's no way you'd ever stand up for your ride when someone egged it or tried to take the wheels.

. You can get a civic with 100k miles for a few grand and drive it into the ground. But then, any guy with an xA and a turbo could beat you, so...
Well the biggest advantages of a new car are the warrenty and the fact that the you don't have to start witht he car already at something like 100k miles on it. Used cars can be a fantastic deal, but generally it's always better to buy new if u can afford it.
hey djimpak dont worry about any of this until your car comes and it actually happens...then if someone still f*cks with your car we'll get this entire forum to hunt them down :D ...excluding Tiberian of course cuz hes a cocky b*tch
Owning new usually cost more to keep... It's not the initial price of the car but the keeping it that cost more...
Although you can buy a new car and keep it for years... Everyone knows that the value of the car drops the most during the first year of ownership... Your investment has already depreciated the value of a used car within this time... I see no reason how this is more of an advantage...
Where as if you bought an old car (obviously we have to rule out people that don't know what a good car is...) and say have to replace the regular stuff... Clutch, tune up, tires, maybe a few other things like water pump or some minor gasket work... This would probably bring a 3K car to twice it's value... 6K... Now you can drive this car say another 5 years starting at 100K... Now you not only drive this car but you got a car and actually have the value go UP... If you ever gone into resale... Your investment in lost would not be as great as if you drove an old car...
Once again, we have to rule out the people that buy the car soley on the exterior condition... If anyone on this board took a drive of my 90 LS Integra with 160K miles on it... They would see cars in a lot less satisfactory condition even in the mid 90's production model line....
I changed the clutch and replaced a failed distributor with a tune up (full tune up)... I bought the car for 3K and put maybe 3K at best on it... (buy my uncle don't charge me labor so I only paid for parts...) Seriously, if it wasn't for the fact that this car is easy to steal... I wouldn't buy me a new car... (I want to put lots of audio in it so I don't want my car stolen...)
Final note... Also, buying a used car after it's first year is always a better deal than getting it with 5 miles on the tripometer...

Most of my cars have been 1 year or less. But I have had several new. The main thing is keeping your car until it starts nickel and diming you. Trading every 2-3 years along with an option of leasing is a terrible way to go. Also try to keep your payments to 2-4 years. Do not do a 72 month. That is a killer. Just save up more and maybe postpone your purchase by a year.

Actually when buying a used car of only a year or so it is much better to buy American. They loose value much faster and you can get a great deal on a car that has not been on the road that long. For Japanese, they keep value langer and you can actually be better off going new. I have seen 1 year old Japanese cars like the Accord go for only a couple grand less then new. The problem is you can score a much better APR % (sometime around 0%) for new. You would end up paying the difference over the years in interest (assuming you finance the car). I know a girl who bought a year old Accord Coupe and ended up spending only a grand less then she could have got the newer one at invoice (which you should be paying near anyways as a smart buyer). I didn't have the heart to point that fact out to her.
