hey guys i need some quick help, i have some painted stockies gold, and the previous owner did a really good job on painting it. and its takes a while to sand off. do you think i can use paint stripper on it to remover some of the layers?

hahah so did i, but yeah i would just stick to sandpaper because i dunno how paint thinner would do to your rims because its pretty crazy ish

 

I've done it. It sucks. Don't use it. It'll just be a PITA to deal with. It still takes forever to scrape the paint off, and if you use the gel kind, have fun cleaning it off the wheels.

 

yea it sucks wicked bad! worst idea i ever had, just sand it. you dont have to sand all the layers off to repaint them or somethin.

 

Stick to sanding.... I used AIRCRAFT STRIPPER.... Ruined my rims. Like it'll take it off and all but it'll leave a messy job, especially w/ tc rims, it gets tedious to go through every spoke to try to fix them. Here is a vid of aircraft stripper.
