Default Painted my engine cover, but have ???'s

Ok i painted my engine cover white and taped off the VVTI and totyot logo and every lettering. The only thing is i didnt remove the tape before it dried. So when i went to remove it i couldnt touch up the lil minor mistakes i did. By minort mistakes im talking about it seems to have on each letter like a lightning bolt pattern around the edges. Is there a way to touch it up without using anymore paint. Like some alcohol or something... if anything ill just have to get a small lil' brush and paint some paint on a tray and dab it a little bit. Any other suggestions ???

I did THE SAME THING! After i pulled the tape off it tore a few small indentions where the paint meets the stock black color. I took an old plastic container and saturated one corner with paint until it bubbled up. I then took a pointy trim brush and went to town. You have to hurry though, the paint usually becomes tacky and unworkable in a matter of minutes. hope this helps. goodluck.

Thanks.

Not true. I used regular krylon fusion for plastics, no sanding needed. I did mine like a month back and it's fine hell i even use klasse on it to shine the clear coat .

Anyone who wants to know how to do this just PM me. Costs like 10$ to do and makes it look sweet.

i had painted my cover with 750 degree paint. the white paint ended up getting scorched from the heat still.. in just a few spots the white turned a yellowish color.. basicly looks like crap.. Maybe go with 1500 degree if your going with lighter colors

I did the same thing and it came out legit. I also used Krylon clear coat too. I heard you dont have to use hight heat on the plastic valve cover because it does no get that hot! Instead of taping off the letters i brought some overlays and it looks beautiful check it out........

Awesome, thanks for the link man. This will make painting it so much easier, a lot less to mask off.
