Default Passenger window switch on driver's door INOP

When I try to lower (or raise) the passenger side window from the controls on the driver's door it doesn't work. However, if I reach across the seat and operate the passenger window using the control on the passenger door it works just fine. Have I got some child safety lockout engaged or is it just as simple as a bad switch?

did you recently disconnect the battery?

in which case, you will have to reset the buttons. they are all over this forum, in stickies, etc. but heres the easy way.

start the car, press and hold the button down for a couple of sec. then pull up and hold a couple of seconds. the system needs to know where absolute down and up are relative to the window regulator, so it can activate the anti-pinch feature. repeat on passenger side if need be.

if you didn't disconnect the battery, then its something else. try the ICE forum.
