I picked up my flint mica tC last night. It is awesome!

I have a few questions. I got the floor mats accessory. It has the 4 mats for the compartment, but no cargo mat for the trunk. I believe there's supposed to be the cargo mat. The dealer says no...a misprint on the web-site. Anyone else get the whole 5 piece set for $145?

Also, is the 3rd (center) brake light supposed to light up across the whole panel, or just a piece of it (and the rest of it is just for looks)?

Any help would be great! Needless to say, the Pure Price is great, but it doesn't take away the fact that you still have to work with a dealer . I'll be going online to order my next accessories....

 

Last time I checked...you do get a cargo mat for it...it is not a mis-print. Tell them you called Scion HQ directly and they said it includes it...without the cargo mat, it would cost you around $100 not $145. The rear center tail light only lights up in teh middle...not the whole way.

Ha! I had the opposite happen to me.. I ordered my tC with no extras, but ordered the floormats separate.. I got the car with all five mats, and now I'm stuck with the four floormats that I paid $145 for!! -- still haven't figured out what I'm gonna do with the extra mats....

btw- i ordered floormats with my car and got all 5 pieces... so i would definitely look into that.

 

What's up with that? Is there a way to make it all light up? Is there spots for lights? This seems extremely cheesy to me.

Speaking of lights. Has anyone replaced that parking light in the headlight with say a blue light to get a different effect? If so, I would like to see some pics.

thanks for all the help! i called the dealer back, mentioned that i talked to scion corporate. they won't admit their mistake, still claiming to be a mis-print. but they are supposedly "taking care of me" and getting me a cargo mat. waiting to hear....otherwise, i'll have scion corporate take care of it. :twisted:

for all the salespeople out there....why is it that this sort of thing happens all the time to me? guess i'm a little bitter

Ok if you payed like 90 or something then they are right because the mats you pay seperately through the dealership but if you payed 145 then you should of gotten a cargo mat...

 

What do you have in the trunk area? Does it say "Scion" in there? If so, you have the mat. If you have grey smooth material and the black plastic twist things are exposed, then you don't.

Yes, you're supposed to get the cargo mat with the floor mats.

it doesn't say scion...so i have just the normal cover to the spare. i'm still waiting to hear back from the dealer. going to call scion corporate back and tell them i still don't have it and get them to talk to the dealer.

i only waited 2 weeks for my car....which is awesome compared to some other people who have posted on here.....

it'll be longer than that just for the cargo mat!

 

i've never actually seen my 3rd brake light light up (generally when i'm pressing the brake i'm inside the car) but i'm pretty sure the entire thing lights up

 

ONLY the middle part of the 3rd brake light lights up. NOT the whole thing!! That's why i will be getting an overlay for that part

 

It shouldn't matter if there is a misprint or not. They are advertising it on the webpage so they should honor it. If they don't, it's false advertising. If they don't "take care of you" the way they should, I would highly recommend you bring this up to them.

It's advertised on the site. Therefore you should get what's advertised. If it's a typo, then they need to take care of the problem on the webpage to keep others from saying the same thing.

It's obviously not a typo since it's been on the site as is for months. You would think they would get tired of having to give out free trunk mats because of the "typo" and would fix it.

I'm looking at the window sticker that came on my tC and it says "CF. Carpeted Floor Mats/Cargo Mat $145" on the right hand side of the sticker.
Looks like the dealer is trying to stick it to you.
