Default Picked up my tC. No waiting.

This isnt a story I am telling to brag. I finally was ready to buy a tC. I had another vehicle I had spent some time getting ready to trade in and now I was ready to buy. I called a few close dealerships and was told I would have to put down a $500 deposit and wait 2 to 8 weeks. I live in Dallas and want a Flint Mica 5spd which I am told are hard to get because of the popularity.

I wasnt too happy about the wait but I was prepared from reading all the posts on here. I decided to get on scion.com and start looking at dealer inventory. Most places have "available" next to all the types of tCs which means more or less they dont have them in stock you can order one. Well after searching several dealerships and finding pretty much nothing. I found a dealer pretty far out that showed a FM tC in stock. I gave them a call and they said it was available and just came in late the night before. I asked the salesman to hold it and he hid it in the back and locked the keys in his desk. I showed up that night and bought it.

Maybe I just got lucky but you guys, if you havent already, should check the online inventiries of dealerships in your area. You might have to make a little drive out of the way but you might find one!

Good luck.

Where on the Scion website can you search dealer inventory? Thanks in advance.

Default Finding a tC

I had to wait two months for mine....

But the two dealers I went to did call around to other dealers to check...Unfortunately, each time they did this....the cars they were checking on were already sold...

I have had my Black Cherry Pearl now since September 18th....and I just attended the Scion Exposed event in Seattle yesterday.

I know my car got lots of looks!!!

If you go to scion.com at the top you will find the link for dealers. You type in your zip code and it will bring up a list of close dealers. You can then click on view dealership website. From the dealership website you can click on the tC then check inventory. It will list all the tCs they have. If it says 'available' its not in stock. If it says 'in stock' then they have that vehicle. You will then need to call the dealer and check to see if that car is already sold or not. If not go buy it!

I tracked mine down, called the dealer, drove an hour after work to the dealer, and bought it. No deposit or waiting at all. I might have been lucky but having the tools helped! I know there are a few dealers in the area that have deposits on the exact car I wanted with people waiting. I got mine in a matter of hours. Let us know how it works out! Good luck!

Hey. Ditto here! I live in Dallas too, andI was told to wait 6 weeks+. I was waiting for a FM TC Auto, when I checked the inventory (that was supposed to be none). Sure enough I found a black auto out in Durrant! Then I bought it within 12 hours of the find!!

Where did you find yours?

Congrats!!! The research paid off!

Not giving any credit to the place I bought mine from. The dealership did some unethical stuff with regards to my trade. Long story, not getting into it.

i'm searching too. i could've had a one day wait, but i didn't have my financing ready so i kind of missed out.

sucks.

i tried the online search thing at the dealer websites off scion.com and i found a different dealer with two "in stock" 5 spd flint mica tCs. i'm going to get it ready today so i won't miss another chance.

lucky you guys are.

i waited a good 2 months for mine. and even went to multiple dealerships to see who could get me a BSP 5spd the fastest. i was always offered every other color than BSP. but i chose not to settle, and i am glad i didn't.

either way... it's finally here.. and i'm happy.
