This has been a big thing around here recently, but can you let us know about your procedure and experience painting the calipers? Did you just jack up the car, take off the wheel, mask the caliper and paint where it is? I'm not going to do it if I have to bleed the brakes and all that, so I want to be able to do it in place, but not if there is some other compromise doing it that way.

I brush painted it on. I didnt want to take off the whole thing or spray paint it. Took alittle longer but it looks great.

Did you do it one wheel at a time? I've got ramps, but I've only got one jack. How many coats of paint? How long to dry between coats?

Sweet, I love GPS/DVD head unit too! Struggling between 18" wheels OR 6.5" GPS/DVD
Nice VVT-I badge too! Just think $20 on ebay is too expensive. When I go back to Hong Kong, I will get some

Yes teh VVT-I badge is off ebay but i paid 15 for it. It has double sided tape just like what is on the B-Pillars....VERY strong stuff.

The brake were painted one at a time.... took about 3 hours to do. Because the yellow was so light i had to do 3 coats and i still dont think that was enough, I just didnt feel like spending anymore time on it. We did my brothers at the same time(BSP tC) red and that only took 2 coats.

this is the rear brake....the front looks better but i dont have a pic

About the door for the headunit. It will close but you have to redrill the mounting holes on the mounting brackets back a bit. I used this thread as a guideline and everything turned out perfect.

Or you could just buy the Eclipse head unit, it uses the factory tC wiring harnesses and fits perfectly in. Has Nav/DVD/MP3/SAT/HDAudio/ 2 CD changer ports, a video in and video out. Amazing units. I personally have AVN5435, the 5395 is coming out next month with a 30 GB hard drive built in.
