Hey everybody don't know if this has been posted yet, but concept images of the new toyota AE86 are up and it looks like a perfect fit for the scion tc replacement. It has some elements of the fuse concept, rear wheel driven, and it's priced around $12,300 a perfect candidate for the scion brand.

I VERY highly doubt that'll come through as a Scion. MAYBE though...

A little low powered IMO. And just b/c the conversion from Yen to USD is $12.3k, don't expect that to be the US price. Different markets mean different prices.

We'll see though...

What would really kill me is if they release that as an AE86 in Japan and then a tC replacement in the US. That would mean we'd have JDM fanboys to deal with.

 

A car looking like that wouldnt cost 13,000 IMO.

Everything is just rumors, ill wait for a official report.

When I first saw it it reminded me allot of the tC, I doubt it will be the tC replacement especially at that price. If that thing does come out at around 13K I don't think many people here will trade in their tC's for one.

 

Is it just me or is it a TC meets a Solara meets a Chrysler Crossfire.

i love it tbh. would love to see it as an addition to the scion line up instead of a replacement. seeing as they have two suv's another sporty car would be just what they need as an alternative.

 

Ya... but 120hp and 2200 lbs (they want to keep it under 1000kg)... that's not so bad.

 

exactly, not to mention the possibility of adding some sorta F/I or motor swap.

 

i'd be all over it.
