Default This place is great.

Hey all. I found this place last night. Yesterday I test drove the Scion tC and REALLY liked it. No it is not the fastest car in the world, but still has plenty zoom. Loved the handling and all the little things that it comes with and with a price tag of around 17K I just do not think it can not be beat. I guess my only gripe was that he has hydrolic power steering and not electric, but with all the little extras you get, I guess something like that is going to happen. Currently saving money for a nice big down payment to get things started off in the right direction. Also wanted to send out a big thanks to who ever runs this site. Thank you,

Heh. Thanks for the warm welcome. My last cool car was a Honda Civic Si 2002. I liked it a lot, but it did not get very good gas milage and was a bit heavy, but lighter than the tC. Unfortunately I work in the tech industry and could not find work. I had to file the big BK, lost my car and had to move to Phoenix, AZ. I am currently driving a 1987 Mazda 323 Station Wagon (5speed manual). I did not really want a wagon but I needed one because I knew that I was going to be moving back to California (actually did some mods to it. Found an instument cluster with a Tach and added a passanger mirror) . Last September (2004) I moved back here to Nor Cali and just landed an awesome job. So I figure with the better pay it is time to get rid of the old Mazda and start rebuilding my credit. It is ugly and slow, but has been very good to me, currently pushing 160,000 miles. I shopped and shopped and researched and shopped some more. I looked at a used Protege 5. Or a new Mazda 3, Suzuki Areo or ford focus and the Scion xA. As you can see all of these are hatch backs. I never considered the tC because I thouight it was a coupe with a trunk, but eventually I was very suprised to find it to be a liftback like the Celica. After doing a little more research I found that it is almost everything I could ever want in a car. It is very sexy, comes with all the nice little things and some dang cool big things, the price is way awesome for what you get and it is a Toyota under all that Scion badging telling me that I am investing in a car that I know will take me to 300K should I decide to keep it that long.

First, if you're gonna hang with us cool kids, you have to go through some minor hazing. Your first assignment is to run across the quad with your underwear around your knees with 5 raw eggs cupped in them. This must take place at 4:05, around the time the Women's Studies class is letting out. If you drop an egg, you are out. If you get caught by Campus Cops, you are out. We will be watching to see if you complete this task.

That's probably some good advice. Something my "fan club" of 24+ members should have listened to.

My Honda had electric power steering, it felt great to me. No biggie really. Just gonna have to get used to putting power steering fluid in it every once in a while.

That's true, he did have to re-register. And his 2nd challenge with the water hose and nacho cheese was A LOT tougher to complete.
