I would love to color match in the engine bay. I was planning on plastic dipping my engine cover and hopefully plastic dip my intake. Any one had success in these two areas by chance?

I know that temperatures maybe the problem sometimes. But none the less any results out there?

 

Yep, you should be alright. Otherwise, duplicolor always works too. I'd plasti dip it first and then finish with duplicolor so plasti dip is your base. Plasti dip has a tolerance of 200F or so I believe, not to mention, those two plastics are high temperature plastics to begin with, so yeah, go for it, nothing will happen.

 

I figured not to harmful if I plastic dip. You have anything painted or dipped under the hood?

 

No. I have never plasti dipped anything. I've been around it a lot though, and I know that it works just fine under the hood on those components.
