That'll buff right out.

I'm glad that nobody was killed in that.

Hope you get a new one soon.

Dave.

Theres no better feeling then knowing that you are sitting inside a car made of stirafoam (spelling error i know)

Why cant they make cars like they used to... You know... With a thing called metal?

Styrofoam is much better at obsorbing and dispersing energy. Would you rather run into a wall of styrofoam or a brick wall? You can actually get a feel of the styrofoam if you pop the hood. You can see some of the foam from the front bumper. It's pretty stiff stuff so it's not like it's going to simply flatten out.

That was some wreck! I can't believe how the wheel was broken like that!

Hope you get better soon. Sorry about your car. We'll build another for you.

I have to ask you.. how do you feel about the tC after being in that wreck? -- I've been in a 70mph head on colision with a 1970-vintage truck (1/2 ton, I think, swerved at full speed into an oncoming lane and ran a red light as I was making a left turn into the same lane -- *her fault*) .. My Saturn SW2 absorbed everything and I only had a scrached finger and knee. I love Saturns and the features they built into that car so I could walk away from that wreck -- I never felt quite as safe in cars without those features..
Anyway, I'm a big fan of airbags and even opted for the side airbags in my tC..

So, Other than the ABS locking up or whatever, in the event of a crash, how do you feel about the safety features of the tC? --I'm just curious about your opinion after having first hand experience

-K

PS Hope you're recovering okay! Sounds like you were just banged up.. Glad it wasn't worse!

And that's after hitting a tree going 40mph with locked up wheels? Our cars are... soft.

Have you had any discussions with Toyota about this. If so, what do they say?

Wow. It sucks, but you walked away from it. I still can't believe it though...that's quite a whack.
