Default Positive/Negative Reactions with my tC

The Positive
i was at a parking lot today for a meeting with people from work.

they were all looking at my car and asking all kinds of questions. i was a little freaked out (cause i kind of hate a lot of attention on me), but it was pretty cool that people were so interested.

so all the basic "what's a scion?" questions were asked and various things about the options and sunroof and stuff. they were all pretty impressed and i didn't even actually show them any of the stuff in action. i just unlocked it and a few people peered inside. the people that asked the most questions were those like in their 20's. and they were all thinking i get paid too much to be able to get a car like that (which i don't ).

the only thing is that i got it truly bare-bones. so i don't even have floormats or anything yet. i did get some lovely bird crap, but i washed that off.

The Negative
the weird people trying to keep next to me to look at me/my tC is a little weird, and people are a lot more aggressive towards me. like on my way to work today, i was just driving past this dude (i was going about 70 / 10 MPH over the limit) who was going the speed limit on the highway and he just sped to catch up to me and cut me off. i was like.. wtf? anyway, he just insisted on being an ___ until we exited. And it continued from there all the way to base. that sucked. and everyone thinks i want to race off the line. i'm not used to all that since i drove around a POS jetta before and only time i had people like that was late at night against weird riced out Cavaliers.

The Summary
anyway, i've had the car for like 5 days and i'm loving it. it's a good step up from my previous car and it has plenty of space. for what i need. i don't have rattles, though i haven't even used up a single tank of gas so it's a tad early to say that i guess. i just hope everyone else is enjoying their purchase as much as i am.

another cool thing was the whole.. lay-the-front-seats-down-and-make-this-lounge-chair thing. it makes me want to get a DVD player in the car.

anyway, just wondering what your favorite part of your new tC is, how people have reacted to such a unique vehicle, and tell you how joyous my experience has been so far. have a great week.[/b]

I know a lot of people that are a little ____ed that the tC has good power and options for little money. Someone got ____y with me on the highway after I passed him at about 75 and decided he should try and double the speed limit to show me that his car was bad ___. Hell, I was just driving home from work.

take off the front seats headrest and slide the seat bottom as far forward as you can, then tilt the seatback all the way down until its flush with the rear seat bottom. Then recline the back seat a little and you have a nice little lounge chair inside your tC!

Same here. I got ricers/noodles/whatevers revving their engines, peel off at a light, speeding up past me on my daily commute. The highway thing? Yup, plenty of times. I think they feel initimidated or something just because I drove by.
