Default Price change on Base.....

Okay, someone mentioned in a post that the price went up $50. Now, I am assuming, since I haven't done the "finance" part of my car, that I have to pay the extra $50 versus what it was when I ordered the car?

That is just sucking. I mean, my payments were all figured out and they up the price? WTF? When did that happen?

I know it's only $50, but hey, my payments go up with every dollar that they add. Bleah.

take $80 cash with you and you'll save more than that $50 extra in finance charges.

Yeah, anyone know if this price change applies to us ppl who have deposits down on a tC waiting for delivery?

They alredy charged my credit card $500 in January.

The printout (of my car with all the options I ordered) the dealer gave me quoted the $16,465 base price.

Now, scion.com has the tC showing at $16,515 base MSRP.

What's up with that?

Depending on your finance terms, your payments should vary about $20.00 per every thousand added or subtracted.

Again, that varys depending on your finance terms.

I just wnated to let everyone know that what they gave me was whatever was on the sticker. So if it says less the $50, then that's what you get.

Also, I got jacked. Only cuz the car that I got, had side-impact air bags, and I didn't want it. They were so hard up to get me to drive off in it, that they did somethign to lower my payments. Because there was about $800 worth of accessories on it that I didn't want (it was a cancelled order, so I was lucky to be next in line).

I flat out told them I'll wait for the one I want. The manager said let me see what I can do, and I took off my fog lights option and I was set to go with a lower payment than what I expected.

Strange, but okay. Not sure what he did.

Any Scion that leaves the port after 2/07/05 will have the markup on the sticker price. Cars on dealers lots before the markup date will have the original (lower) price.

I got mine on Feb. 3, and the sales said that the $50 is new fee for media advertisement or something. And since I ordered the car before Feb. 1, it won't apply to me. I think for you guys who already put the down payment down, don't have to worry about...

I printed the email and will bring it when my car comes in just in case the dealer tries to pull some funny business with me.

Good idea.

I just picked up my box last Wed, I was pre-$50 charge.
They made me sign something saying that I knew about
the price change but I was paying pre-change price.

I've never seen a tC for 14,465 base price.
