Default Price of tC with options

This is what I asked for in my tC:

Automatic Indigo Ink Pearl
Exhaust System
Ground Effects Kit
Mudguards
B-Pillar Appliqué
Sports Steering Wheel
Blue LED Underglow
Sports Racing pedals
AM/FM/6-Disc CD by Pioneer
EMX Super 7 spoke 18" Alloy Wheels and Tires
Foglights
Doorsills
TRD Lowering Springs
TRD Shocks
TRD Sway Bar
*Cold Air Intake (either get what scion will offer or the Weapon R, I have been hearing about)

Total with labor(WITHOUT Tax and Title): $21532.20

Let me know if that is too high

Thanks

Sounds normal- You can buy the car and add all the options after you receive it to save a lot of $. Look here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31156

The only reason I am thinking about getting all this is because I can finance my car, so that way I pay montly instead of all at once. I could lower that price if I didnt get the TRD Sway Bar, shocks, and springs. Get those from somewhere else.

wow dizzytc, you sound exactly like me, check out my post I made a little while ago, it has a huge amount of info, and I am still pondering on my list, but you can see what ideas I tossed up if you read all my replies and everyone elses... just read the thread, great info

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...084&highlight=

out of your list, I'd say pass on the exhaust system unless you've heard one in person, do a search on it, there's a huge debate over the Magnaflow or TRD - and after hearing both online and in person, I'm getting the Magnaflow... just sounds so much better and performs better too. You could order it online from www.precisionmuffler.com and have it installed, probably by the dealer or another shop, can't really void anything under warranty except the part itself. Just make sure it's legally installed.

The Sport Leather Steering Wheel is hella expensive for a steering wheel with no controls on it, you could get a good aftermarket wheel with a bunch of controls on it and get it installed from a seperate installer for probably the same price, maybe a little more for labor needing to run the extra wires or so. But I still wouldn't trust it anyways, you're talking about messing with your airbag in that wheel.

6-disc changer - do you really need it? it's the same deck with 6 discs and you can change the color of the screen... not really worth it to me. Not at all. Better aftermarkets and all you need to do is connect a few wires.

Foglights? granted they do add some light, but that's $350 you're talking about.

Cold air intake - I'd wait on it, it's a bolt on part you can do yourself in 5 minutes and can't mess it up (I should hope) and you'd probably need to reset your ECU as well (disconnect your battery, negative I think, search on that) You should wait till SEMA and check out some other things going on - and the Weapon R intake is expensive as hell for a short-ram and the dyno's seem fishy to me

check out my thread, all your questions shall be answered

EDIT: I was checking out their price list and some of their things are RIDICULOUSLY expensive, laughable really.... $800 for $115 springs?? you don't even need to compress them, that's ridiculous. $1025 for shocks?? buy em for $285 and install em yourself... sheesh they're warrantied for a year self-installed by TRD and they're a wear & tear part anyways... and you could just pop em on yourself with the new springs, just get a jack and a tire wrench.... or pay someone else to install em... that's ridiculous. that's about $350 PER WHEEL just for installation between the two parts.....

Blue LED Underglow- this wasnt available on the scion.com website when I ordered my car, but you can get the ranode cold cathodes that are twice as bright.

Sports Racing pedals -simple install your self, mcgeorgeparts.com or trdsparks.com sell them for cheaper

EMX Super 7 spoke 18" Alloy Wheels and Tires- nice choice, im sure you can find a better deal, but not one you can finance

Foglights
Doorsills - diy see webpages above

TRD Lowering Springs
TRD Shocks - if you aren't mechanically inclined, finance them, or buy them cheaper and have a friend or shop install them

TRD Sway Bar- diy also, can get it for less than 100 bucks at above sites still i think

Cold Air Intake- bolt on goodness, but you probably wont get it for a little bit,

You can't install the mudguards with the ground effects kit.

I Love You Mayne!

I fully agree

The marketing types at Toyota should be shot along with all the people gobbling up the dealer-only parts available for the car. They don't include a tube of KY with the body kit and the super expensive parts they offer for the car.

Less cluter on my window sticker the better.

Why do you want to pay interest for things you can put on yourself and for much cheaper than the dealership price. I even refused to buy the floormats from my dealership because I found them at www.mcgeorgeparts.com for about $45 bucks cheaper, and I won't have to pay interest on them through Toyota finance. Think about it... you'll have more money for more mods. :D
