Default Price on USED 05 tC?

i'm looking at a used tC with ~10k miles on it. stock manual with floormats, NO side airbags. no dings, no accidents, always garaged, excellent overall condition. it was bought around july/august so it has had about 9 or 10 months gone of the warranty.

i don't know what prices should be for this car. KBB has just come out with some ridiculously high private party values, but edmunds, and NADA don't have any values yet.

i talked to the bank, and they said the depreciation on a toyota product would be between 10-12% the first year. (what was shocking was that they said some cars, domestic cars, could depreciate as much as 21% in the first year!!)

i'm looking at doing something soon, and would like to save the cash on the barely used car, even if it is just a couple grand.

do you guys have any ideas on what a used one in this condition should go for?

look on autotrader.com most of the used ones are priced higher than brand new ones. its just not worth it dude. but u might find one for about $16k if you look really hard. thats the lowest ive seen a used one go for

if your gonna pay 16k for a used you might as well go for a new one. at least you will know that nothing has happened to the car.

Depends on taxes too. Most will agree to say that you paid say, 1000 for it, so you don't get taxed for 15k. That's a factor..

well then if it is the one you want, go for it. i personally would spend the extra $1,500 and get a new one. if there was a bigger difference in price then it would be worth it to get a used one, but when the difference between 0 and 10,000 miles is $1,500, I would go with the new one. but whatever floats ur boat dude!

If it helps i bought my black sand pearl with 6000 miles for 15,000. I saved about 2 g's. Id say its worth it. But id tell your friend you can find private party cars for low 15 for less miles. Just my opinion. And make sure its the color you want. And if you do buy it from the dealer, do not get any options.

Here I go again with the bad dealer program. Went to buy another tc auto with 4800 miles and they wouldn't tell me the price till I got there. $17,900 but the abs was added on. They dropped it $1,000 when I walked away. Kept walking. I know they want to make money, but I can wait for a new one.

There are dealers in my area selling used tCs for $18k+. I am not sure if anyone buys them, but the ads list the prices as $18k+.

Are they just hoping they will find some sucker who doesn't know anything about pricing?

The oilchanges actually go with the car, if they haven't been used and the car is still under warranty. At least that's the way the manual reads.

yeah but didnt he say that the car already has 10k miles on the car? so that would mean he prolly used them already. . . it would be kinda werid for someone to save thier 3 oil changes

I've seen a lot of Scions selling for ridiculously high prices, used. I have no idea what a dealer in Northbrook is thinking, selling a 2004 xB with hubcaps for $16,000.
