Default Problem with controlling passenger side window.

Yesterday I installed Randode's Code Cathode Lighting System, it works fine. It involved disconnecting the battery for a bit so everything got reset.

Today I tried opening the passenger side window from the driver side but it does not work! The window can still be opened from the passenger side but I'm wondering if there might've been wires I mightve disconnected or the cold cathode tubes are interferring with the wires. I can still open the driver's side window.

Happened to me before to when they installed my alarm. Go to the passenger side window..roll it down all the way..roll it back up but dont let go of the button hold it for like 5 seconds let go and that would restore function from the drivers side and the auto up/down. If your auto up/down doesnt work on the drivers side just repeat the steps on the drivers side window. Same with moonroof.

thats happened to me soo many times, just give it time it'll work out fine.

for some reason scion needs to re-program itself to understand where the window position is.

for the time being if u want to open the passenger window u can do so from the passenger side.

also take note that your Auto up and down dont work, that will also work in a day or so..

um.. this happened when i took the door panels off.. also when u remove the batt terminal the 'moon/sun roof doesn't work right, this also reprograms itself or something until it starts to work again.

technology, what a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the post! I just ordered the Cathode Lightings too. There are so many of these great stickys. I think admin should put all these little info in the FAQ sections. I'm starting to collect all these stickys myself :D

The entire window and moonroof normalization process is covered in the owners manual.

FYI, AFAIK (It's acronym day on Rivulent Ranch!) the reason is reprograms is to recalibrate the ECU on the windows locations in order to adjust auto up features and when to expect the window closed (otherwise, you'd put auto-up, and it'd reach the top and roll back down because it thinks it hit something)

well dont you know that u dont have to unhook your battery if u are splicing into the 12v power from the cigarette since scion's cigarette lighters are turned off without the key in the ignition...so im not real sure y u unhooked your battery , unless u hooked straight up to the battery.

When I used to work for a distributor we always had to set the windows and sunroofs in all the models that came from japan , This included lexus as well . I am not sure on how the actual system works . I dont know if it registers load on the motor or its its an actual pressure sensor in the mechanism . A little hint , especially with the doors the light in the switch will flash if it needs to be set (rolled down all the way , then rolled back up and held up for 5 seconds ) the sunroofs were more of a pain , you would have to hold the button down (open or close not sure) and let the sunroof cycle through all its positions then return to close position (never letting off the switch button)this will activate pinch protection
