Hi everyone, i wanted to konw has anyone had a problem with their windsheild wipers. ok heres wut happend i went to this car wash and it had one of those drieys that move when u get to the end, the dryer kind of cuaght on to the windsheld wiper and it moved it up alot. the wiper still works, but its moved up alot. i talked to the people at the car wash and there manager wasnt there :twisted: i filled out a report but i dought that there gona do anything to help. so anyway are the wipers made that cheap that they moved that easy or was it that the dryer was thjat strong. just asking to see if this happend to anyone else. also this would definalty be couverd under the warranty right? Thanks

 

Is it the actual wiper arm that bent up?

You gotta remember that the car is also on a conveyer belt that is used to pull along anything from 2,000 lb Honda Del Sol to 1 ton Ford 350s, so i'd say that's enough force to break something.

It dons't look like the wiper bent itself, it just moved up like 3in from its original postion

 

the end of the whole arm i mean moved up 3in

You push down or pull up on the main (big) wiper with a decent amount of force.

-bump- for usefulness (especially during this time of year). I noticed that my wiper was f'ed up ever since it snowed, and I was about to take it back to the dealership. Glad I found this thread, it saved me from making a jackass of myself at the dealer again (the first time I engaged my window lock without realizing it and thought my passenger window was broken..)

 

When I bought my tC last March, it snowed and when I took it to the dealer to have them readjust it, the tech-guy used some wrench to loosen and then tighten my windshield wiper back into its proper position (he took off some cover from the windshield).

I'm afraid that by doing so, I've "lost" this feature and when it snows on it it may actually jam or what not...

so be sure to adjust it by hand back to its proper position and not with the wrench!
