Problems with Emergency Brake Light!!! Help!
Ok guys, I need some help with this! When I start to accelerate in my tC and I get into it a little bit my Emergency Brake light comes on and when I let off the gas it goes back off...! It does this especially in the morning when it is cold outside... I don't get it I'm thinking about letting the dealership look at it, but it will probably not do it when they try to get it to do it... lol Is there something wrong with the circuitry? It doesn't do anything but get on my effin nerves when it does it... Is anyone else having this happen to them?

Would it still happen with the audio system off? Maybe you need a cap?
If it still happens with the radio off and the car is under warranty, i'd take it to the dealer. Just make sure you did mess anything up with your audio install b/c then the dealer will make you pay for repairs...

I'm just throwing out guesses here, but if you can, check out the connection for the e-brake, and make sure it's not loose. You can remove your center console (between the two seats) and make sure the e-brake wire plug is not loose. Just an idea.

i got the same problem and i'm just over 35k. they say that my brake pads are fine, still have plenty of use left, rotors are good etc. they said that the brake fluid could be low or that because the brake fluid is colder it needs more pressure to compress the brake blah blah blah, i'm not really sure whatelse he said. but it is still running fine and stopping as good as ever.

That would be convenient if it were that easy. Just add a little fluid and problem solved. I wouldn't think the pads would be worn at 35K anyway, so sounds right. But this sounds like an electrical issue i'd think.
