Programming a tC key fob?

I'm selling a tC key fob and someone asked how to program it. Do you have to get it done at a dealership? Or can someone do it themselves? I know there is a writeup for the xB, but I couldn't find one for the tC. Thanks!

They have to get it done at their dealer with the specific code for their car. I don't believe they can do it themselves...

there are other alternatives to dealers to program it. But, an individual cannot program a key fob unless they have the operation ID in the ECU
