scion doesn't give away free stuff. Maybe (MAYBE) they might give you stuff that's from the dealer, like free oil changes or something. That's about it, though.

I got the $400 for the college grad discount, not student loan.

I took the $400 in cash though.

So you can decrease the gas mileage such that it's about the same as your sti? You stated you were getting the tC for better fuel economy, so adding a turbo sounds like a contradiction. Oh well, at least the tC will look better than the sti.
pppssst...if he stays out of boost on daily driving..his mpg with a turbo will go up around 5mpg..know your stuff before you spout your mouth please

WTF? I know my stuff, and you seem to have missed the point. You also need to rephrase your statement, as it's not clear what you're trying to comunicate (5mpg improvement w/turbo?).

He's just commenting on an inacurate statement by YOU.

The guy is probably going to loose negligable MPG, and in Daily driving, may run pretty dang efficiently with a turbo setup.

If you stay out of hard core boost in daily driving, you're not going to lose out on MPG too much at all...

Let the guy love his tC, and build it with tC/sC, whatever he wants... the tC, coming from an STI is going to be a huge drop, so I don't blame him for spending a few extra bucks to get a bit of power, and still be MUCH less costly than his STI.

That's not really true either. If you keep your foot off an sti, it's mileage improves too. And there's no point in FI for the tC if you're not going to use it. Sorry to see that you too apparently missed my initial point.

Whatever, it's not important enough to discuss further.

It wasn't important or relavant enough for you to say in the first place!

maybe that's the best point....

It was a weak point none-the-less.... the cost savings from an STI to a tC are HUGE and even with F/I, guys are getting really good fuel economy and still having a low car payment, low insurance, and low cost of repairs.
