Default A question?

So i have an 06 Scion tC. 90K on my motor and now i have a rod knock. i dunno why as i have taken goodf care of the car and also done oil changes on it regularly. My question to you guys is should i get another 2az motor for it or is it possible to fit the new 2ar motor in the bay of my 06 tc?

Drop a 2011 motor in it. 6 speed!

thats what i meant a 2011 i want to see if anyone else has done it or tried and if itll fit. i know itll take some custom modification like motor mounts and new harness but if anyone has tried lemme know

and yes ive played a few MMORPG with this name

That's just the 6 speed transmission on a 2AZ. He wants the 2AR engine as well which no one has done. Don't see why it wouldn't work if you get everything (engine, trans, ECU). You'll probably need custom mounts but that's the least of your worries.

exactly my question is
A.) would it fit in the engine bay?
B.) if Yes to part A then what all would be necessary?

I'm about 99% sure the motors are the same size overall, and obviously the transmission will fit. It is possible, but of course you would need to spend the money on both, and likely a new ECU.
