Default Questions about TRD exhaust.

My dealership installed my TRD exhaust last night but I noticed that it was hanging pretty low, I looked a little closer and everything looked to be installed correctly so I turned my attention to the box that the exhaust came in, It says Xb, I have an Xa. Does anyone know if these Exhausts are interchangeable between the two and if they are, then why does mine look so funny? (hangs about four inches below the bumper)

:D Check for a part number on the Box-if you still have it, It should be 00602-17400-050. The XB exhaust part # is 00602-17400-150. And they are not interchangeable.

Good Luck

Yes, I have the box and it does say 00602-17400-150. How did they even get this to fit on my Xa?

The exhaust setup is more or less the same, as far as the actual parts go; but the mounting brackets are differant in how they attatch the muffler to each car. It wouldn't have been too hard to make the xB one fit on the xA, but as you can see, it doesn't fit correctly. It was most likely a case of either a lazy mechanic or a misinformed parts department, go back to the dealership with the box and tell them they put the wrong muffler on. If your dealership has integrity, they'll fix it for you for free, good luck.

Yeah you have the wrong muffler on there, the dealer should have no problems puttin on the correct on, just make sure your axle back gasket was not damged or you will have problems later.
