Default Questions About What To Do With My tC.

Hello all, I was looking for some suggestions on what to do (or I should say what I should get done) with my tC. Now my tC is wonderful and I already have the following: TRD Exhaust, TRD Struts & Springs, TRD Rear Sway Bar, and TRD Front Strut Tie-Bar. Now I'm just looking for some further suggestions on what I should get. Also as a note, I have a 2008 Scion tC.

I know that things like budget, what I'm looking for and that I should get what I want...I have a general idea of what I want to do and what I want, but would also like some input. I am going to have the TRD Supercharger installed in the next few months which will be one of my next upgrades and I'm looking to improve my car slightly for fun and drivability, but also to keep it as a reliable daily driver.

Here is what I was thinking of doing in the future:

Hotchkis Camber Links (since my car is lowered, it is supposed to increase the negative camber to keep from tire wear from what I heard)
TRD LSD (if it is worth it, still reviewing opinions and everything)
TRD Clutch and Aftermarket Flywheel (unless there is a better clutch out there)
Possible upgrade of a hood and trunk, but unsure.

Now I like my car as is and I prefer to keep it more stock than modded, but there are definitely some parts that I would like to swap. On top of this, this is my DD and I would like to keep the warranty on it as well as have some fun with it (I plan to take it to the track every few months and possibly autocross as well, mainly for fun and to see how I do). I just want some suggestions on some nice items and good upgrades that are worth doing and purchasing. The two things I would definitely like some opinions on are: CF Truck and Hood, I want to know any good brands and locations for purchasing. The second being rims, I haven't really seen any nice ones and the stock rims look nice, but I would like something slightly better and the only real rim I've looked at was the TRD 5-spoke rims (if anyone has them, please link me pics!).

Just to let you know (though it doesn't matter), I am not looking for a strictly track car and for all power. I am building a Turboed built B18C5 Honda CRX, which I have to say I love slightly more than my tC (first car and first love, but I still love my tC almost as much) so this will be my track car (but I'm making it legit to, so I can drive it on the street without problems).

Thanks in advance for any information, I definitely appreciate it!

I'd upgrade the tires (if they are still stock).

I hear the LSD is worth it but in the XB2 forum someone was having issues with getting it installed (some key that only the dealership has and you can't buy it).

If you get carbon fiber hood & truck, make sure you wax it frequently. All my buddies have hoods and they look like crap over time because they wouldn't care for it properly.

Personally I haven't looked into headers, but if there is a header that passes CARB emissions, I suppose I would possibly go with it.

I've yet to upgrade the tires, but I think I will do this once I get newer rims. I don't mind having the dealer install the LSD, I have a decent dealership and they don't gouge you for installs like some do.

I would like to pick up the CF items, but I will review this later.

Any suggestions on some nice looking rims? I seen a few, but nothing to good looking imo.

LSD is a great start for going to the track.........Light forged rims would be a good choice as well..........some nice sticky tires will make a big differance although they have a short life span..............and get some brakes..........

All those can be done and still be a good street driver..........and enhance performance on the track.............

Definitely look into Seibon for your carbon fiber hood and trunk. They have the best fitments and quality materials in their products. They are worth every penny. Give High End Performance a call and they'll set you up. (link in my sig)

About the camber links, you probably won't be needing those. The TRD drop is too tame for it to create the kind of negative camber where you need correctional links. Plus, with the TRD shocks, the springs are being supported by stronger bases and won't sag down.

Definitely upgrade the tires. Rims are subjective though. Just get what you like and think would look good. I'd look at getting 18's if I were you. The extra inch will close up that remaining wheel gap from the TRD drop, but still leave it high enough for daily driving (no worries about rubbing).

Yeah, I didn't know about the camber links, but have read a few posts saying that they improve tire wear, but that may be in regards to springs that lower it past what the TRD springs do.

I'll definitely look into the CF hood and trunk, as well as some rims (I'm looking at the TRD 5 spoke ones and they are 18 inches, so I may get them).

Thanks for the tips.

New tires are absolute must. Look around for something good for autox and still maintains long tire life. I personally prefer Falken tires... nice compromise of both.

If a toyota dealer installed the TRD springs, you might want to hold off on adjusting the camber... they may have already compensated for the camber change at lower height, which is a very good possibility... If anything, ask the mechanic who installed it, I'm sure he'd know.

EDIT: Even better, check your tires before you replace them (after a little more wear)... if they wore out evenly, then your camber is fine. Whole nother story if you don't care about tire wear and just want pure skidpad performance when pushed at the limit.

Having negative camber can be a good thing if you plan to do more than go straight (like auto-x or road racing).
Negative camber eats your tires quicker but having bad toe is worse.
