I'm going to have to consider an alternate driver.

The Pzero Nero's are far superior to the Potenzas and if your gripe is that you can't drive without getting curb rash I don't think the small "lip" of a tire is going to protect your rims. I honestly do not understand how so many of you manage to get curb rash.

In this case I was backing into a parking space that had a curb on the passenger side and I misjudged how far from it I was.
UPDATE: I just had the stock rims w/ the new Pirelli PZero Nero M&S tires installed on my tC Thursday (3/10/05) and we had a snow storm a day after ... i must say that stopping was a little tricky but cornering was fine (needed to downshift more to slow me down) ... i do feel confidant w/ these tires in the snow ... not a huge difference from the "snow" tires on the 15" steel wheels i had on previous ... im glad i took off the bridgestones and put on the Pirellis even tho the 'stones were brand new ... i was able to test them out today on the highway and i was thoroughly impressed .. i felt better steering response and handling compared to the bridgestones (when i remembered havin them on) .. i love the new tires and i feel that they would perform better then the bridgestones in the snow too ... one of the best mods ive made yet ... cant wait for more warmer weather ..

I've got the Eneki 18" rims with the Pirelli tires.
Now the rant, the Pirelli's don't have the lip that helps prevent curb rash if you brush up againt one. You'd think they would but noooooooo.
But, I do have things I like about the tire, handles well, is fairily quiet, treadwear seems to be good, and handles well in the rain.
but, ungh, one of those lips could have saved me from buying two new rims.
Yes, I should be more careful around curbs but, sometimes stuff happens.
When it comes time to replace the Pirelli's I'm going to have to consider an alternate tire that has the lip.

i have had the pzero nero m&s for about 9000 miles now, and yes they are OK in the snow but have to take it easy, they aren't snow tires anyway.
and for someone saying that the pzero's ride hard, is a joke. they ride very smooth.. these aren't bad at all.. and they are extremely quiet. Only problem I've had is that a couple were defective. Guess it's my luck.. Vibration issues but seems a lot of tire makers have these lemons.. someone has got to increase quality control..
about the rim guard to whoever said it didn't have it...? The pzero nero m&s I have DO have the rim guard.. just like the re92's.. but they aren't going to protect your rims if you slam them into a curb, nothing will..

I cannot stop laughing!!! I'm a dork, I know.
But anywayz, when I get new tires, I'll be getting the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S. Anyway, just be careful around curbs. Sit up around the corner if you have to! lol
