I'm with you too, I don't know of any departments that have quotas. Maybe in smaller departments, but quotas are not necessary considering you can sit at any intersection at anytime of day and probably pull just about everyone over for some violation and meet your "quota" in half an hour, lol.

Having more police presence on the roads at the beginning of the weekend (Fridays) is probably a good idea, since there are lots of people in a hurry to get home from work, tourists, vacationers, parties starting, etc...

My bad week: broke my Razr AGAIN!!! Just the screen but come on! My old phone (Samsung) was dropped so many freaking times and not hardly a scratch. I'm not buying Motorola anymore

 

Bad Weak i had one not to long ago. I was at work and had a nice little storm knocked the power out and had to deal with work issues along with was happened to my car.

And by the way, it happened on a friday morning. So everybody was going to work not home. Maybe they dont have quotas but how come they pull random people over?

Day watch does start 7am-3pm, on Fridays there are more people out so there's gonna be more police presence. Pulling random people over is how it's done. When I was on a ride-a-long, out of all the cars in front, I decided to pick one. Ran the plate, and bam the tags were expired and the car had stolen tags on the plate. So we pulled the guy over and he also had a warrant for his arrest. Traffic stops are the number one tool that police have at stopping or preventing crime and catching bad guys.

 

Ohh snap! A cop! Then Why me? Someone was tailgating me while running at the same speed. the cop who pulled me over I guess was a newb, I can sense his nervousness, he didnt even give me a chance to explain he just went like, dadadadadadadadada. heres your ticket. Plus running at the same speed and tailgaiting = more infraction. Why me? T_T. well I guess cant do anything bout it huh? I filed mitigation on it, just hoping wont go on my record.

 

^The answer is, some cops give warnings and some do not. He is just doing his job and if you are doing something illegal, then it's pointless to be mad because you were caught.

I just got a no front plate ticket last month, $200 and he was in the other lane in front of me. I was going the speed limit getting off the highway and then he pulled in front of me, then on the shoulder and behind. I got a ticket for something that is not even a moving violation nor does it put anyone in danger.

 

and btw, I'm a cop in training. And to answer your question as to "why you?" obey the law and you won't get pulled over. But judging by your disrespectful nature here on SL, I'm finding it hard to believe that the case is as cut and dry as you'd like us to believe. Id bet good money that you threw your chances of getting off with a warning out the window by copping an attitude.

As far asyour counter claim, its your word against his. And guess who's sworn to uphold the law? Its definately not you...

 

well my bad week consists of falling off of my Ninja 636 speed bike that ive had for 3 weeks...mind you it wasnt my fault i live in a pretty busy shore area. I fell then the guy behind me said "Get the bike out of the road! let the cars pass" as i just got up from falling off of my bike. what an assh*le i mean you couldnt at least stop for a second to see if i was alright? im just ____ed and my right elbow is swolen and im hurting as well as 3 scratches on my bike, broken right foot peg and me being ____ed off..ARG! just figure i would add to the ranting

 

How was this disrespectful? Cop walks to my window, says some line got my stuff gave me a ticket? I was looking at him wanting to explain but as I was about to he went to his unit.. Not even an "uh" came out my mouth, I didnt even had a chance to explain... Where's disrespect in that? Plus, the cop shouldve pulled over the guy tailgating because thats where accidents start. PLus, after giving the ticket he said any questions then there I told him about the tailgater with sir on every pause. and you know what he said. No body was behind me. What a jerk! and you know what, ill ask for the video when I do my mitigation... Oh cmon, If the same thing happened to you you'd be ____ed just like me, specially when you feel like someone is being unjust to you may it be a cop or someone you know. 5 over on a high speed lane. cmon. Tell you what, its the car. Coz it looks sporty and they label drivers in it as aggressive drivers. whats aggressive about 65mph? I would understand if i was going 75 - 90 mph. You know, I dont have time to waste on arguing about this coz so far Im having a good week!

 

I know where youre coming from! But at least my friend behind me stopped for me and aksked if I was alright. That would hurt so bad. How fast were you going when you fell? I think I was running 45 on a scooter when I held the brakes for a little puppy and got the scooters rear skidding left and right. I got my left ankle, knees, and legs sprained so bad. But that was like years ago.

but thats only because of hte demographic i fit in...im as pierced and tattoed as they come. and in vegas...ooo. for some reason, my lot isn't looked to highly upon

but i swear! im a good guy =)

 

just today. got pulled over again for running 40 on a 35. NO ticket though, It was a warning. Jeez! I think I have to trade in my car!!! Its a trouble maker.

 

i finish painting phil's rims, head out to north vegas for a party in my dads lotus, get pulled over by a cop get into an accident with cop 2 miles down the road. get to party. gun shots rain. party breaks up. find out that gun shots came from close friends gun. close friend missing. looking for close friend. finds close friend in burger king in a fight. get in a fight. kick the ___ i needed to kick to get the lotus off my mind. hop back in the car. head down the street to pick up my girl who left because of fight. get phone call from none other than cop that scratched my bumper with his car cuz he was on hte phone with his wife.. offers some cash in exchange. i tell him it's my dads car and ask for his number and promptly hangup because i realize im being tailed meanwhile, my girl is yelling in the seat that the guy has a gun or whatever and im just telling her to be quiet because i just want this night to end and i'm sick of this bull____. and this is the reason i want to move somewhere so i can start a ____ing family. and she promptly shuts up. i finnally lose the guy and pull up to my friends house and less htan 2 minutes later everybody else pulls up and just piles in the house sits on the couch and plays video games.

aand thats just one night. hahhah.____ i hate vegas. i swear to god. i can't wait till i'm outta this ____hole and a teacher at a university spreading my knowledge. >=|
