Rear Hatch (Fastback) Shocks Are Bad...
Well today I was loading the car up for work to travel up north and had the hatch open loading it up, everything was fine.
Get to destination a few hours later and all of a sudden with no warning, the hatch doesn't want to stay open. I thought it felt heavy opening it up. The shocks will not hold it up at all and won't even lower it slowly as if they were dieing or it was cold out (which it was not)...
Anyways, I called my local Toyota dealer and he quoted me $132 a piece!
I haven't had a chance to do any looking around on the internet/auto part stores on prices yet, but I was wondering if anyone else on here had their shocks go bad already?
I have an '05 by the way...
TIA!
