Default rear hatch rattle fix

i've had a rattle in the hatch area since almost the day i bought my car that the mechanics couldn't figure out. my dealership called yesterday and told me there was a tsb just issued for it so i took it in, and today it's been rattle free. just like the day i brought it home.

just an fyi for anyone who might have had the same issue. tsb is nv010-06. hope this helps.

just issued?
that TSB was released back in 2006.

thanks for the TSB number though.

quicker fix is adjusting the upper stopper cushion and twisting it so that it makes more contact with the lower one when closed.

dang, i guess i have a lazy service advisor. he told me it was just issued.

anyways sorry for the out of date info.

per invoice notes...

customer states rattle noise from rear hatch area. diagnose and found poor contact of hatch on striker and rubber stopper cushions. also found lack of noise insulation foam between body and platic rear door hatch bezel causing plastic to rub on metal surface. poor adhesive/insulation. insulate rear hatch door lock bezel with foam and felt. replace rubber stoppers as per tsb and adjust striker for rear hatch
