I like the tC mats, but I do see how they could come out around the edges. I've got them in "winter" mode right now and I don't especially like the look, but if you keep them clean they're decent and versitile. Aftermarket mats have always bugged me.

I agree with Smashy though... those wheels are ugly. I think the stock 17"s are really well done and although there are better wheels out there, it's not those.

I dunno about that - it might look good or it might just be a real hassle to deal with. If its a show car that's one thing, but I don't want to drive through mud and worry about curbs with a polished lip. I think a nice gunmetal color would look good, but just not on those wheels.

This TC in my opinion is no big deallll ...... just red ... and i dont like red. I mean it might be cool seeing a red TC around. But im still happy with mine. And i dont get how they cant release a new series with more performance then the stock 160 HP version. Yeah i know you can get the SC on the side but still. It shouldnt be an option. And besides 2,300 dollars more for a red series TC thats badged everywhere from the ___ up. id rather get a custom paint job to the color i want and still pay almost the same amount.

I am not to impressed. I would like it more if it had the SC in it. But all they did was add a new color! and the color to me looks cheap. The original colors are the best. The grill is cool...not liking how it's marked everywhere....1.0 SERIES! it's like we got the point i dont need it allll over the car ya know? the fabric...that's cool i wish they did a 2 tone like that in all the cars with different color options. But overall..i like my FM better.

Sorry folks but I love red cars. If that color was available when i bought my SSM I would have been all over it. As for the package, while its mainly cosmetic still a pretty good deal with the bigger wheels and rubber along with the mats and strut tower brace. I wish my SSM didn't have 10,000 miles on it so maybe I could make a move and only spend a little more for the RS. I mean isn't anyone else tired of seeing the exact same car they have tooling around their neighborhoods and college campuses. When i bought my tC everyone asked what it was. Now it's just one of the pack. 2500 units only? I wish I had waited.

I was waiting to see the two new color codes coming for 2006 here in May...
but I was at the dealer the other night, and just casually asked about the RS 1.0 availablity... "oh we have two coming this month... both manual, one with side airbags one without..." I could not believe they hadn't been spoken for yet...just good timing I guess.
so the next thing you know I am laying down a hold fee for the no-airbag model... if I like it (should be here before wed.) I will be adding the springs and pedestal spoiler... I don't know how you guys and girls out there don't like the ped spoiler, I can't envision the car without it.... .... anyways, hopefully I will have one of the first RS's in Tucson AZ, if all goes as planned...
I wonder what the wait will be on the color keyed spoiler and the spring install???

BTW, I don't like red cars either (uless they are wearing a prancing horse badge) but this one seems to be unique enough to make it worth while... I was hoping for more performance mods too, but the wheel costs does make up for alot of it... Exclusivity is priceless, but that is a subjective attribute.
BTW, my dealer is offering free tire replacement for life...I hadn't heard of this anywhere else here...is that common? Pretty nice since 20K mile 18's will be pricey to replace.
I hope they have the P-zeros on the RS though... we'll see.

I think the RS looks decent.. too bad red paint fades after a couple years.. i was really hoping for yellow. And, they should've shelled out a few extra bucks for some new 18's.. not those old Enkei things you've been able to get for the tc for awhile now, they aren't the most flattering thing I've seen on a tc if you know what I mean.
Hey man. Check out Costco. They have a plastic mat which I think should fit. I use the cloth one and I know that that one is smaller, but the plastic one should be about the right size.

You know that's a really good idea! I got new mats for my Corrado at Costco a couple years back and they fit great.. I'm sure I could find something for the tC.. unless they're going to be selling the RS1 mats at dealers anytime soon... ?

Ive got the factory 18's on my car and get stares and compliments on them all the time. I think theyre a lighter shade though, cause mine are a really reflective silverish gunmetal, the ones on the RS 1 look kinda dull and flat grey.

I am pretty sure the 18's on the RS 1.0 are indeed darker in color...

Yes, they are dark anthracite...my car came in today... the RS 1.0 looks awesome all around, I am very impressed with this Absolute Red, and the package as a whole. Can't wait to pick it up this weekend. #202 of 2500 baby!
