How was your new security system installed without removing the Scion system?

The little Scion security box with the red light on it right next to the side mirror control.

And its funny because he asked how you installed the new alarm with-out taking the old one out, and u said professionally, but obviously something was missed. Thus making that statement humorous to me.

^^ because he asked you how was the factory alarm was still hooked up when there is a new aftermarket one and you replied "professionally installed"...

Yea. I'm not exactly sure but I'm assuming the Scion Security is pretty much plug and play.
Therefore if u remove that plus the wiring I'd assume it becomes deactivate. This is all just assuming tho.

^^ Lol yea.

But yea I'm not sure. Anything that i've installed that you could get from the factory was basically plug and play. I had my alarm installed from the factory so I'm not sure how to wire it up. But I'm just assuming its plug and play. See if theres a DIY for the factory alarm on here. Then you could just do that.... but backwards

are you positive that its not supposed to make a chirp (in your case honk) when you remote start??
If i were you I would take it back to whoever installed it and ask them,...

OK, I have Viper 5900 which I have security system with remote starts ...

Why in the world Scion Security's alarm gonna goes off?

I assumed the reason why it does that because since Scion Security system doesn't recognized the remote start from Viper.
So basically someone is hot wiring the car and start them. I thought that's why Scion Security system will goes off.

I could be wrong tho.
