Default Road trip advice!! Help..

What's up Scion gang? I'm 19 coming from a Focus ST (mommy and daddy bought) but due to family reasons I don't have it anymore but I happen to love my new Scion tC it's a really nice ride. I'm in college, may not compare to the ST in speed but its two different worlds and I love the tC, but anyways HELP, I'm going on a road trip from Atlanta to Florida (480 miles) in December this year. Now I just joined the scion community with my 2009 tC 5-spd, with 148,000 miles. She burns oil a tiny bit only If I punch on it but if I just chill out it seems to be fine. I have a tiny hole in my intake box (bought like that) will be buying new intake asap, but other things I did I mounted some new tires on there, did a oil change, added some fresh new OEM headlights, new spark plugs, and some basic detailing when you buy a used car. You know the drill. but she starts up every time, she drives nice doesn't feel like she's lacking any power. so basically what I'm saying here is with my description do you guys think my car with the miles being 148,000 with basic road trip necessities like extra oil, jacks, spare, I have new tires, gonna replace the battery too.

Will I make it there and back safe? I'm okay with replacing things to make her be able to handle this trip but I rather ask the knowledgeable guys on this forum would I should change and stuff.

THANKS BROS

Sounds good, man. Manual transmissions are typically more reliable than automatics. "Doesn't feel like she's lacking any power" suggests the clutch is in good shape. The 07, 08 and 09 models had an engine recall for oil consumption. Not sure how to discover whether your tC was repaired. Even oil burners will typically run a long time if you keep them topped-off.

"A tiny bit only if I punch it" suggests a stuck-open PCV valve. Might not be a bad idea to remove the valve and shake it near your ear. If the valve isn't stuck, you can hear the components rattling inside. (Not particularly necessary before your road trip.)
