Default Another Losing oil problem

I have an 07 tc with about 58k miles. The problem I am having is that I am losing about half a quart of oil about every 1500 miles. I use RP and change it about every 5-7k miles. I have no external leaks that I can tell. My dad thinks I that my rear main seal is leaking and dripping on the clutch. Is that something that can happen. I do drive my car hard every now and then. Appreciate any help/suggestions I can get. Thanks

Mods? Does it smoke? If it were leaking thru that seal your clutch would probably chatter or slip and it would drip a bit. Have you lifted the car to see if there are any signs? There's a lil plastic cover between the engine and tranny that you could stick your finger and verify if there's any oil. Maybe your car is one of those 1qt per 1k miles that Scion say it's within limits. Kinda bogus if you ask me, but oh well. Also check your valve cover vents to see if there's excess oil.

What weight oil? How soon after an oil change do you start noticing this? How high do you rev the engine before shifting?

I have an cai, exhaust, and nst pulleys. I does shatter a little getting into first. I normally shift around 3-4k. I start to lose oil after about 1000 miles. Thanks for the suggestions I will be sure to check them all out.

normal, it's in the owners guide. i've had that since brand new, was told built with looser tolerance to last longer but downside is oil consumption.
