- If I take out the interior and install a full rollcage in the car is it still street legal (the car is completely stock)?
- If I take out the airbags and everything is still stock, is it street legal.
- Can I get the car registered in these conditions.

curious about this too.. i know there was some infos on this some time ago, i couldnt find it.. for sure though roll cage is dangerous when you dont wear a helmet, so daily on the street its not advised
theres to many variables.
diff. states have diff. laws and there are federal laws as well.
while your car may pass inspection that doesnt mean its legal.
i'd say your best bet is to ask around, local DMV, local police station, etc.

I believe if you remove the air bags yourself then it is not legal. However, if they were deployed in an accident then I believe it is ok. I could be wrong though so research it but I am.pretty sure I heard that somewhere before
You don't need an interior to be "street legal", but if the car is stock why put a roll cage in it?
Removing airbags on a car installed with them is illegal.
Registration depends on state.
Roll cages also make a DD unsafe to drive, you'll bounce around the thing uncontrollably in an accident. Your head will impact the bar and smash your skull. I could and should go on....

Most cars that are fitted with a cage run at least a 5 point safety harness and a helmet..
A full roll cage + 5 point harness is still dangerous on a DD. Even if you are strapped there is a chance that your head will hit the bar to your left.
I usually dont recommend full cages for DDs just street cages, this way your head wont hit it incase of an accident.
Whats your experience with roll cages, 5 point harnesses, and cars overall to dispute this "flawed logic"

Thanks guys for most of your answers, so let me clarify a few things.
The car is stock as far as engine mods is concerned, however it does have a racing suspension, the reason it has a cage is because its a rally car, and in the class that I want to race it in is has to be stock.
So I am buying this car in NC, shipping to Philadelphia, PA was way to expensive, its actually cheaper from me and a friend to fly to NC and drive it back. As far as titling and registering NC Dmv will give me a temp tag good for 5 days to come and register the car in PA. I will have the car insured and later registered in PA.
My concern is that if for some reason I were to get pulled over in my transit from NC to PA would I be get in trouble with the police. Once again the car is running a stock enigne, the only 2 things are no airbags and a roll cage. I can only assume that is the cop see a rollcage he's gonna assume that I have heavy engine mods.
Anyways this is goin to happen next week so lets see how it goes.

So the car already has the roll bar installed and no airbags? If you do get pulled over i would just explain the situation, say you just bought the car and it came with the stuff, if it is going to be just a rally car and your not going to drive it on the street you shouldnt even have to worry about registering it.
