Meant to do this when i got my car back from the dealership. Will someone else post a pic of their roof open.

After mine shattered and they replaced it. Their seems to be a different look to it now compared to other tC's.

actually mine didnt have a hole, it sorta jus buckled upwards and shattered...

 

My sun roof looks different. It has a black bar on top of that silverish piece. Did they change the design of did your dealer forget to install that piece? My car was manufactured in February 2005.

 

its like they reinforced the new one based on the pics, mine looks like the last pic

 

Hmmm. lit kinda looks like they deleted or left out the upper black cover. I don't know how doing that would address any glass shattering problem if there was a problem, but I thought your sunroof shatteredbecause of a projectile, instaed of a flaw in the glazing. I'd double check with the dealership whether they did not just forget to re-install that top black piece, just to make sure. Otherwise the aluminum rail looks very much the same as original, except for the absence of that black piece.

Also the wind deflector , the stilt that connects to the actual deflector only connects on one side by the looks of it . Mine is connected like this [0 while the joint on his wind defelctor is connected like this L0 if that makes any sence

 

It looks better. I have to check mine now, I think it different. Was it covered under warranty?

 

yes i had only had the car for week when it happen

 

yeah that first pic is definitely a lot different than the 2nd picture which mine looks like too.. that first pic is thicker rails and looks more sturdy.. wow i wish i could get that one

 

Looks like they just didn't put the black plastic pieces on

 

so that's what the real track looks like underneath? i'll have to look closer at mine tomorrow
