well the rx1 isnt a big upgrade.. imo its not worth the extra insurance payment for having a red car

Well the car itself is kind of the same. But you're paying more for the special color, the numbered badge (only 2500 made?). Plus it already has a few mods: Door Sills, Wheels, Grills, Strut Brace, Body Kit, and others. So it's really not a horrible price for what you're getting.

I checked w/my insurance co. before i purchased the car. With my company (i dont know if this holds true with all companies) there wasn't a price difference.

That's sweet! I went by my car dealer today and there was an RS 1.0 5-speed sitting on the porch...UNSOLD!!! I was sooo surprised.

The car looks great in person, too. I didn't like it in the pictures.
The pictures lie.

sorry to say, but I'm going to have to chime in and say that the color of the vehicle being insured has zero effect on insurance rates. It's a myth.

http://www.progressivedirect.com/tee...tm&query=teens
click what you think is correct and they'll tell you the correct answer, which is that it doesn't affect your rate.

I have insurance with Progressive and they didn't even know the color of my vehicle until I had to file an accident claim and it was on file with the rest of the shop info. I've also called countless insurance companies for quotes before I found the cheapest with Progressive (surpringly since they were my second call, and held up to everyone else, lost count after my 20th company.... literally)

It'd be a good idea for everybody to take that test, even though it's pretty simple in itself, it will probably surprise most people. and you can research the answers, they're all correct.
