man, the airbags didnt even deploy. kinda scary.

lets see. when i wrecked mine it didnt look nearly as bad as that and it cost 11k to fix... so id have to say no

 

my guess as to why the airbags didnt go off would be that the driver didnt have his seatbelt on...

Yeah I was talking to the place that is selling it, and I said it would cost a ____ load to repair and his response was:

"No way, it should only cost you about 5K to 6K to get this thing all fixed"

And that raised an eyebrow.

 

People who drive without seatbelts deserve to have their skulls crushed in by the windsheild. It's utterly stupid to drive without a belt.

 

I can't afford a new TC - so I was hoping I could just fix this up to "road worthy"ness, as in enough to pass inspection. I dont care about the dents on the right side, but I would definatly need a new left fender, hood, bumper, lights, sunroof, windshield and probably new front windows.....yeah thats a goldmine right there I guess - especially since the TC is relatively new..parts are probably and arm and a leg...

that crash cost about 8K to fix, so I dont think the salvage scion is worth it.

 

Lol, I was kidding....Chloe didn't have *nearly* that much damage to her car, according to her description

 

judging from the camber of that tire you broke a bunch of suspension pieces(axle?) soo yeah that is gonna be pretty expensive...the salvage doesnt look like that much mechanical damge mostly body and glass...

there was some suspension damage, but nothing MAJOR. I don't have the parts list from the crash but I'd say it was less than 2K of the damage.

 

In order for it to be worth it you would need to have a total of HALF the cars value invested upon full repair. In my mind, a perfectly good (but salvaged) vehicle is worth half of a clean titled one. That means a total of $7-8k upon full repair. So if you get the car for $3K, you should only pay $4-5K for repairs. Not gonna happen with that car...

If you wanted to make a custom show car, it might be a good car to start with. But I wouldn't want to make it into a daily driver or back to a stock tC. You'd have way to much money in it.
