I don't think so. The HU of my RS2 has the reciever under the passenger seat and the antenna on the dash.

Many of your question will be answered if you call the dealership. ;-)

No - I have the upgraded pioneer in my '08 and I still had to add the Toyota Sirius receiver and Fit Kit. I was in the same situation and decided I wanted to keep the factory look to the car. I did the install myself and ordered the equipment from TRD Sparks. They sell both the receiver and fit kit for $260. Pricey, but much cheaper than the dealer if you do the install yourself.

The receiver mounts under the passenger seat.

On my car, the antenna is mounted on the center of the dash nearly touching the windshiled. The reception is pretty good. I only lose it when I'm in tunnels or underground parking.

As for the text question, yes. If you're not 100% sure you will like the programming, go to their site or but a prepaid satellite service. I wouldn't pay a year's worth, although I think they prorate it if you want a refund.

The instructions for the antenna say to mount it on the inside of the windshield sort of behind the review mirror. This is also where the dealer mounts it. After holding it up in that location, I knew there had to be another way. As such I got creative and mounted the rather large antenna on the back hatch.

It's up and out of the way and I can't even see it in my mirror. I ran the antenna wire through the rubber sleeve between the hatch and the car body, through the headliner and down the side trim to the passenger seat. The antenna mounts with included double sided foam tape. The antenna itself is a Sigma antenna, and they are supposedly really good at getting and keeping reception. I have very few dropouts with the antenna in this location.

If it says SAT Ready than you should be good to go. I'd obviously confirm with whoever you order from just to be safe.

Well if you want xm- You need a factory tuner box, a universal tuner box to use the factory option. You can either spend $450 on one from the dealer or you can buy it here: Toyota Box: $199 http://www.myradiostore.com/xm-radio...us-xmdtlk.html
and you'll need the universal box: $69 http://www.myradiostore.com/xm-radio...s/xmd1000.html

If you want sirius here's the whole kit for $177:

Both are a ton less than the dealer. Oh, and I've had both and I prefer sirius.

This is what I have....

Delphi SKYFi3 Portable
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1169512522605

The only thing that sucks about it; is the built in wireless FM modulator. I guess FCC had many complains from different radio stations saying the stations were being block by people with XM radios. So they limit the distance on new satellite radios. I wanted the Pioneer inno2 but didn't wanted to spend the extra 100 bucks for it. I moved the antenna onto the roof (taped with 3M exterior tape) and I get much better quality than when I had it near the car antenna area.

Anyway I thought the merge between XM and Sirius wasn't going to happen?

I have XM in my 07. I got the Terk toyota reciever through crutchfield for $249 and had Best Buy install it for $50 because I am lazy. It is definitely worth getting, especially if you commute a lot (which I do). The reception and sound quality are great, and the programming is good and diverse. It works the exact same way as the dealership unit and is way cheaper. Also I took advantage of a promotion XM ran this spring and got a free XM Sportscaster, similar to what is displayed on page 1. As far as the merger goes, it is still up in the air.

I just installed the Sirius Receiver and Fit kit in my 07 2 weeks ago. Took about 90 minutes with standard tools.

If you care about sound quality, this is the way to go. Sounds about the same quality as a CD. Much much better than the FM modulator, AUX plug or AUX plug with ground loop isolator to remove the whine.

Still trying to figure out how to make the display scroll, it's making me nuts!

As far as I can tell, the display does not scroll. It does with compatible CD's, but not satellite radio.

man how did u get the antenna through the rubber sleeve ? I gave up on trying to get it through. I pulled the weather stripping off and then put it back on over the antenna (antenna between metal and stripping). There is a notch in the metal dead center on the hatch so when i put the stipping over the antenna it sealed pretty good. I had some black sealant laying around so i put some where the antenna was just in case.

I used a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch the boot open and a flat head screwdriver to shove it through. I also cursed a lot and tore a couple of fingernails off of my fingers :D .
