First and foremost, if you're going to make a claim to the dealership-be prepared to have some sort of evidence. (Like a phone cam pic of your tC haulin' a$$ or a decent pic of the tech racing in your tC.) Unfortunately, without proper evidence they make think you're trying to file a false claim. And later on if something were to happen to your tC and you brought it back to that particular dealership, they can look up the claim (false in their minds) and say that "blah blah 'false claim' blah blah" caused the problem with your car.

Man, that $ucks and I hope they catch the arsehole who screwed with your ride. I just wanted to give you a 'heads up' on what they might try and pull on you.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself with that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant; If I die, you are forgiven. If I live, I will kill you.

If you can prove it, I'd demand a new drive train. You know, to prevent any underlying problems from showing up down the road as a result of their negligence.

HAHA and this coming from the guy who drove through a "HUGE" puddle

But yea i wouldn't like to see someone else driving my car... especially a tech from the dealership (and we're supposed to trust our cars to these people)... ok if he's driving it to test it maybe, but racing... thats just too far

Go directly to the general sales manager or general manager. Be rational but be prepared to play hardball, too. Insist on the tech being brought forward. Mgmt can tell if he's guilty or not. Let them know what you want them to do for you or give you and use the loss of your business as your leverage. "Car people" are very in tune to the fact that a happy cust tells like 4 people and a ____ed cust tells like 100, that should help your cause. Just decide before you go in what they should do for you... Do you want a free repair or do you want the guy fired? You'll have to work all that out.

i totally would have followed the tech all the way back after he floored the car and raced. then i would confront him on the spot. that should make the dealership go WTF is going on. *insert story here*.
