Does the sound speed up or get louder when you rev it? It sounds like thumping....maybe the timing chain idler it worn out and is slapping / rubbing? A bearing in one of your accessories could be going as well. One way to try would be to remove the belt and see if it still there...but thats a PITA. You can also get one of these:
