Default scion tc obd II header?

ok, well i know most aftermarket peformance headers will give you a check engine light and also fail your emissions test, but then i heard you can get the ones that will not give you the CEL and will pass emissions, anyone know of any?

no.

no, because the header is were the primary catalytic convertor is. no after market header comes with a cat in iit. so they will all fail.

now to prevent this, you have to come up with some sort of anti-fouler to trick the secondary o2 sensor into thinking that there is a fully functioning cat in place.

ok, ark speed racing sells a header for 300, and also a little kit to get rid of the CEL, the header does not come with the straight pipe or the cat, and the claim that with the exhaust and headers it is a 19whp increase, worth it or no?

one, you get what you paid for, buyer beware, and no, you will not get 19 whp. you will get 10 at best.

haven't heard or read anything about ark headers.

now CEL fixes are hit or miss, some work, some don't, some work for alittle while etc.

do a search for anti-foulers, CEL fixes whatever, there are lots of threads on this.

you can just go to a crooked smog shop so you'll pass. Besides, depending on your state, you won't need to smog your car until it's around 5 years old.
