Does anyone know how the scion tc side mirrors come apart. I was able to remove the mirror from the vehicle, but I can not figure out how to open it up. I need to replace the lens for the blinker. If you tilt the mirror you can see the painted piece of the mirror has snaps, but they are not accessable. A detailed discription or a pdf showing this would be helpful.

The painted cover just pulls off. Get your fingernails in the crack and give it a tug. No tools required

 

gosh.. you smash the pass. window too? I wish the mirrors would fold in.... its the only thing with the tC I don't enjoy...I hit it aginst the wall of my drive way...(stupid 5 speed)...lol....smashed the lens part and put a big scrape on the edge...gonna either cost me $221.00 for the whole mirror or $37.00 for just the lens...

I think I'm gonna just do the lens...but I'm a little confused on how about to replace it, with it being glued on to the rest of the mirror itself...

so yeah any other Mirror replacement info would be great!

I finally got it open. I was able to push some of the tabs through by tilting the mirror and using a thin screw driver. Once the tabs were free I pulled carefully till it came off.
