Scion tC Release Series Comparisons/Opinions
The only thing I can say is that it looks like a boring package. But not as horrible as the RS1. The RS1 was just ___.
Ugly black rims, ricer aluminum battery tie downs and the ugly seats. Not worth the extra $2,000 they charge for.
The 2 was nice if not for the grill. I gotta say I love the seats on those. I wonder if the 35watt sub is any good?
As for this 3rd one... body kits? When is Toyota ever going to build one that performs? They should call these "ricer editions".

I disagree with just about every statement you made
1. The package does not look boring. It's coming with a lot of goodies that no other scion has seen from the factory.
2. I think the grill on the 2 was one of its weaker points, relative to the RS1.
3. I think $2,000 was more than fair to charge for the RS1, which came with a lip kit and rims that alone would have cost $2,000 from the dealer.
4. Can a 35watt subwoofer be good? No.
5. Just because the car has a kit, it does not make it rice. Rice is a GT wing on a Honda civic that has 4 different colors on each fender/bumper.
Please realize that if they wanted to make the car fast, they would have to jack up the price significantly
If you want the car to go fast, buy a turbo kit and/or springs and sways, i dont see what the big deal is.
Lets say Toyota did include all the performance goodies with the car. There is no doubt in my mind it would be priced upwards of 27k. There are a lot of cars out there for 27k that you can buy, such as an RX-7 or 350Z. SOOO no, a decked out performance scion wouldnt work.
However, not a bad first post, and welcome to ScionLife! :-)

The 1's didn't come with a lip kit. And no, $2,000 is too much to pay for the 1. I can get a nicer set of rims and a suspension system for $2,000.
The 2 also had ugly rims to match the ugly grill.
Toyota doesn't get it.

The rims on the RS2 are the same as stock wheels, except that are satin coated. So basically you are saying the stock scion rims are ugly?

the RS1 had alot better options than the RS2 and had better rims, imo... the optional 18's vice the crappy "satin finish" of the stock 17's on the RS2.
all the RS2 got was good seats... other than that..
it was an "OMG Scion made another blue tC"

*cough*... hmm.... *cough*
someone lace my cigs? ahhh... blah... crap..
hmm... must've been thinking the ped. spoiler... i knew not all of them had it... or something... it's late.... and i'm sick...
*sniff*... well... as mentioned.... the RS1 was much better in comparison in my and alot of other people's opinion when it came to the RS2.
but comparing them to the special olympics.... man, you got any heart?
.. you dunno what the RS3 is gonna look like and you're already poking and hating on it?
do you even OWN a Scion??

Since Scion was all about "customization", this was the only one they got right:

Doesn't come with anything useless that you have to pay for. I put the rims I want, the suspension I want, the radio I want... basically a clean slate. I could go without the sunroof, no big deal. Since it's around $15,000 I could put the other $2,000 - $4,000 that I save into things that actually help the car perform better.

i don't know about that picture, but every rs1 i have seen has a lip kit. and stop saying ___ on everything. are u ___?
if u don't like the RS series, then don't get one, get the one u like and make it the way u like it. simple as that.
we are here to help, and not here to argue.

imo the release series is just a way to say that someone has a special edition of the car.. granted there were only 2500 or 2600 ever made, and the fact that scion refreshes their car list every so often, itll keep a higher value because they were so limited.

Honestly, why join a site dedicated to Scions if you're just going to come in here and say they suck? Are people really that bored?
