I dont see what the big deal is, its a customized car.

I got the RS2 because I liked nearly all of the extras that came with it. I love the color and I think the grill goes really well with it, along with the lighter colored wheels. I also thought the included sub was awesome because I would never buy one on my own, so that works really well. And the seats are nice too, I like them better than the stock seats.

As for the RS1 being better than the RS2, thats also your call. I personally never want a lip kit or a body kit on my car nor do I want rims that are just black.

Its about what you like and dont like. Theres no need to go around bashing something that others like just you think its "___".

Doesn't come with anything useless that you have to pay for. I put the rims I want, the suspension I want, the radio I want... basically a clean slate. I could go without the sunroof, no big deal. Since it's around $15,000 I could put the other $2,000 - $4,000 that I save into things that actually help the car perform better.
I think you may have the wrong idea about Scions that come from the factory. It seems as though performance is more important to you than looks. In that case Scion may not be the car for you b/c......... performance isnt the tC's strong point. The RS series does come w/ more toys that many ppl can do without. I agree that the $ is better off spent elsewhere but thats up to the buyer. Unfortunately for you, youre coming into an area where most ppl WILL admire the RS cars.Youre going to have to come up with a better argument than "___".

i think he needs to read the scion life term and get booted. i have been known to say a few things too but its always shutting someone up like this, not bashing other peoples car straight up.

MODS, BOOT HIM!

SCIONS RULE!!!

Wow, a bunch of touchy ricers.

I guess we can't expect Toyota to build a "performance" car since ricers like you guys keep swallowing what they shove down your throat.

Next time you get smoked on the road, you can make yourself feel better by saying, "You may have won, but I have a bodykit, battery tie down and an ugly grill."

LOL!

Yes, because thats everyone does, they race down the highway. Trying to beat anyone and everyone the come across.

I didnt buy it for its "performance" or because "I have a body kit ". I bought it because it was a nice looking car in the price range I was looking for.

You really need to go somwehere else. You seem to have a very sad and twisted idea of what people do with their cars.

There is no better new car for $15,000 than the tC Spec. Period.

$5,000 in mods in a tC will make it eat up any new car out there under $20,000.

I just find it hilarious for a bunch of guys to pay thousands of dollars for "rice".

Let me know when you run 13's because of your custom grill, racing pedals and billet oil caps.

WOW 31yo getting into an e-battle with younger REAL Scion owners and getting owned

dude really stop the arguing because we know that the stock tC is not fast but still I bought mine because i liked the looks of it and the sunroof, + the toyota quality backing it up and for the price it's awesome if I wanted to go fast trust me the tC would not be in my garage right now!!

Umm... if I was going to lie about owning a car... I'd like to think I can do better than a Toyota.

We got a bunch of weak playas here.

In one hand you praise the tC for being a affordable car you can easily customize and in the other you trash its Manufacturer, Toyota, for not releasing a performance edition.? Apparently you are a confused "Older" guy and if you want performance without "Ricing"(Your words not mine), your Scion step your game up and by a Lexus IS or any other high performance vehicle.... Oh wait im sorry, that crappy company Toyota builds Lexus nevermind

This is a fantastic battle of mere opinions. The tC is and always will be what the owner makes it. From my point of view the idea behind the RS's was to offer a few rare options, particularly the paint, to set it apart from the others, nothing more. As for the packages, some may have viewed them as a bargain compared to adding the same options to a standard tC. If a given individual didn't get the lip kit with their RS1, chances are they either didn't want it, they got robbed, or they simply didn't pay for it. If you want to laugh at and/or bash people who decide to spend their own money on their own cars to make them look different then, well, you certainly got issues that are all your own and that may be what people are objecting to.
It sounds as if the author has a different plan for their tC than others and cannot comprehend other people's decisions and opinions.
As for the tC being slow, yeah its not fast but its as fast or faster than the other cars in its class and costs less while having outstanding standard options. To me, its a car that represents potential.

Whats that old saying? Oh, yeah.

TO EACH THEIR OWN

Hold on a sec junior, I never said Toyota makes crappy cars, don't put words in my mouth. Toyota makes good BORING, NON-PERFORMING cars.

Learn the difference.

Lexus has NOTHING that performs. Although they're high quality cars, they are allergic to performance. Mercedes has the AMG and BMW has the M series. Toyota finally woke up and is starting to make something that performs. We'll just have to wait and see. Toyota chose the letter "F", a grade that they currently get in their efforts on making something that performs.

Dude, HOW OLD ARE YOU really?? and what the hell is wrong with you the RS1 (in my opinion is the best ) and the color is just awesome, the RS2 color is cool, I dont personally like the package, to me its more like the more subtle of the three, why are you repeating ___ like a friggin parrot, what are you 10? and last of my questions, if ur 31 lookin for speed and not for looks...

Why in the blue hell did you buy a Spec tC,
okay by your age, you should have money to buy a more performance inspired car, maybe not new but still a faster car, The tC we all agree is more of a looker than a race inspired car, first of all its 2,900 lbs, its got 160hp 140tq and its a five seat car, Its NOT a Friggin Ferrari and still with all this weight and low power numbers it still manages to outbeat a lot of cars it its class,

Oh and do Us a favor sell your scion( that is if you have one, U dont deserve a scion), buy a 10 year old car and jack it up aniway you want (since your not interested in looks) And get the HELL OUT OF scionlife.
