Default Scion tC Satisfaction meter

I just ordered a tC a couple of weeks ago but seeing so many problems, I can't help but wondering if it really was a smart move...
I didn't see such a poll before but i think it's not such a bad idea since everybody can learn from some sort of "customer satisfaction meter". If "satisfaction" is not really the word to describe your Scion tC experience, maybe a little description of the problem(s) you had / have with your car would help too...

I was thinkin about making a poll like this at dinner tonight! Thats pretty funny!
I was wondering the same thing... if the problems are happening to only a few people BUT widely talked about or if a ton of ppl are really having problems... I will be watching for the results!

Honestly, I am so unbelievably happy with my tC. I love it so much more than I expected. Everything about it is exactly what I want in a car, I was originally going to get an IS300, but am SO glad I chose the tC instead. Saved myself 10 grand and got a car I love.

i love it, its everything that i expected and more. few minor problems like the creaking roof but nothing that cant be fixed.. Overall, its a badass car for the money.

to me, its like paying 441 a month to ride a rollercoster :D , worth every penny

Awesome car and well worth the money.... but is it my dream car? no. I had to decide between a tC or an '02 Maxima SE (which I've wanted from the time it came out), both of which were roughly $20,000. I have no regret buying the tC, but I still get the "what if" feeling... which I think should be expected

I don't think there actually as many problems as their seems to be. Most of the stuff thats going wrong happens to one person (like that guy whose rear brakes failed, or the guy with tranny knocks) there's bound to be one bad car in every 1000 or so.

The only problem that seems epidemic is the moonroof popping thing.

so far, I have not had a single problem or complaint about my tC (knock on wood)... I haven't even noticed a single sound coming from the moonroof... the only quirk mine seems to have is the stereo door gets picky sometimes, but that doesn't bother me, it's just something I have to figured out..... I love my tC! :D

About the ABS problem... I remember reading that post... If i remember correctly, the guy said that he tried to avoid an animal by suddenly changing lanes and slamming the breakes . I'm no expert by any means, but I thought you're not suppose to do that. If your wheels lock even for a very short time and your car starts sliding sideways, ABS won't help you regain control of your car... Stepping on the gas might have been a better solution in my opinion since you're kinda forcing the rear of the car to follow the front wheels...

I hope that people who actually OWN the tC are the ones voting. Oh, and it's time to move this up to the top

*UPDATE*
I just recently noticed that my air vents do move on their own, at ANY air speed.... it seems the vibration from the road moves mine, not the airflow itself. Nothing big, just an annoyance. Has anybody had any luck with the dealer fixing this???

I bought my 5 speed on July 10th. I haven't had a problem or issue arise after 1200 miles. I'm very happy with it thus far.

Default Love my TC

I got my TC on 7-2-04 have over 1000 miles and I love it. No problems so far, still haven't got all my accessories, but that's a dealer issue not a Scion problem. No popping noise from the moonroof, however my air vents do move. Black interior in Texas not a good idea, but I love it, thank goodness for the mild summer.

I've had some small issues, but I am still very happy with it....simply can't beat the price...as long as the service is good, I'll be happy...oh and I've had it for almost 2 months now (picked up on the 6/24) and have around 3500 or 3600 miles....

The only reason I didn't vote "great" was because it is not my dream car.......my dream car changes by the day.

I had some concerns about this car after my first test drive but after a month of research and driving the others I have to say this was the only way to go. The problems are not that big. I was concerned about it being too hot but after a weekend of 90 degree weather here it wasn't that bad. I've only had the car for three days but the only problem I've had is the door over the stereo not opening every time. Seems to only want to open 30% of the time.
