I am thinking of getting an exhaust on my tC and since I'm not real sure footed when it comes to after market mods I was wondering if anyone has the tC TRD exhaust system on their car/would you recommend it? The thing that gets me is that its $525 before high Chicago sales tax (9%) so I’m not going to drop that kind of money on it unless I get my moneys worth. So if anyone has it I’m wondering how happy you are with it/does it sound good and really increase performance and gas milage or is that all B.S.? If anyone else has installed a different exhaust and would like to recommend it I’d appreciate your input too. Thanks guys!

Whether you will like or hate the sound it makes depends on your preferences. The performance gain is very close to nil. Gas mileage improvement even worse than performance gain.

Stock exhaust is very adequate, especially taking into account the valve that opens up the muffler at high RPM. If it aint broken - don't fix it ;)

I think what rage meant was for you to do a search on the forum for the topic. Since there are already tons of threads on this topic.
1- click on the search tab (right next to the faq tab)
