Default scion tc vs x runner

k guys, i recently raced a x runner twice within a two month period. of course i won.

but aren't these trucks supposed to be fast?

the only mods i have is straight pipe exhuast with an hks can.

the truck i raced only had exhaust too.

15.2 - 14.8 stock and about 210 to the wheels stock.

so he either didnt try or sucked at racing.

They are pretty fast if the driver tends to drive fast. If he's feather-footing it (2000 or less rpm), he gets decent speed but isn't pushing =P

It'd be funny if he threw in the supercharger and wins the next one... without trying, LOL. They are putting around 270 hp 290 ft lbs to the ground w/ the TRD charger.

well...according to all the specs on that link, the tc is faster then they are in all catagories.

the xrunner isn't faster than the regular tacoma v6 speed versions. same engine, same tranny, same differential. with the exception of if you get the 4wd and a locking differential.

nothing is done to the x-runner to make it more powerful, all they did was lower it, put some sportier suspension on it, and add some flare to make it look sportier.

so while the x-runner is rearwheel drive, 4 liter v6 with 236 hp, and a 6 speed, it has considerably more weight to push than a tc.

X-Runner is a nice truck, but well overpriced for $25,000.

I'd rather get a Nissan Titan King Cab $28,000 - $5,000rebates = $23,000. Rode in one of those and that V8 is a monster.

It'd be nice if Toyota atleast put a TRD intake and flowmaster exhaust on those Tacomas... but what do you expect, we're talking about Toyota /sarcasm

ok as far as i know there isnt a trd supercharger for the newer styled tacomas but i know of a company that makes one. It gives those bad boys 305 to the rear wheels. they are sweet looking i have a buddy with one. I almost bought one myself actually. But yes they are just lowered and have a sporty suspension. But it depends on the driver but it would be close. oh and cwayne those titans are nice definitley looking at maybe getting one of those in a few if i want to part with the tc

better hurry, their current offer is:
$4,500 rebate on 2008 models King/Crew cab.
$500 Christmas rebate
-------------
$5,000 total, not bad at all. The Crew cab is nice, but it's too big for my use. It's just the wife and I. Even if we have our 1st bundle, it's still plenty of room.

I'd trade my tC in but I'm still in a negative equity with what I owe. I think next summer I should break even.

Titan, Dodge Ram diesel, Hyundai "project Genesis"... choices, choices...
