Scion TC's have black box?
I tried searching on this but couldn't find much... a buddy of mine tells me that by 2009 all new cars will have a black box recording your driving in case of an accident.
Wondering if the 08 TC did or not and if not if the 09 will?
Anyone have any ideas?

Nope. None in all of the Tc models so far. I doubt the 08 will have it too.
I have heard that the Feds want to put a black box in every new car in the future, but I don't see it becoming reality anytime soon.

look in your guide it has a recording device that knows seat position, if seatbelt is on, how fast you were going, gear and rpm.. it states it will be givin to insurance or police at request in a accident.

now, this isn't a long term, life of the car, from factory to grave of what goes on, but it is there so that, lets say you bolt up a turbo kit to the car, do a few drag races, royally F-up your car, put the parts back to stock, and bring it to a toyota dealership, they can pull up this information of how has the car been driven for the past X amount of miles, and be like "f-you, we know youbeen screwing around with this car"
