Default Scratches on Gear Shift Plate.....

The car I got was previously owned by a woman for about a year before it became mine.....now, the one thing I can't seem to figure out.....the car is automatic....and on the plate where the gear shift is....the silver part, is a bit scratched up....it looks like some black scuffs...nothing over bearing, but its annoying to me because the inside is in mint shape...still smells brand new....so it be cool if i could figure out a way to fix this! Can you buy replacements....or any suggestions from anyone for fixing this minor issue??

Water and soap aren't working!

look on ebay. I got the console "waterfall" piece for about $40 in mint condition. Sometimes you just have to wait till someone puts one on but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than getting the replacement from the dealer (they wanted $330 for the console and installing it).

They're extremely easy to pop out and replace. It's just plastic clips holding it in.

Honestly, I can't remember. I think I ended up having to type in 'scion tc', then select parts and accessories, then interior. I think I also ended up finding the waterfall piece in the audio section once, so I'd check there too just in case.

Oh, and when you find one, just to make you're life a little easier, screw the shift **** off and put it in neutral. I couldn't get mine over the shifter until I did that.

you can try some micro scratch remover or some goo gone to get it off. Or just take it off and use some wet sanding and repaint it.
