Security Light acting weird after Programing New Keys
I just had a new key cut/programmed for my car, and now the stock security system is acting wonky. When either key is inserted, the console security light blinks twice, then pauses, and repeats seemingly forever. The caveat is that both keys start the car with no issues (other than the security light remaining on while driving).
Any ideas as to what is going on?

SOLVED
OK, so the problem was from using the Toyota SmartKey maker from ebay to program a transponder key. The immobilizer apparently only turns off learning mode automatically if you program 3 keys. To get the thing out of programming mode, insert the key and turn key from ON to OFF 5 times quickly (my friend, they Toyota tech said within 10 seconds). Worked like a charm for me.
Guess I shouldn't have expected good instructions for $30. Works well, though it didn't do a thing that the instructions said it would beep-wise.

Scion tC Car starts but Immobilizer Light blinking after programming New Keys
Yep right on, had the same problem. Programmed only 2 keys, and had the same issue. Your instructions fixed the blinking light annoyance.
