Default Serious question....i need some advice...!

Ok i would like by starting to describe the problem of my tc.

I had it for about 4 months now...and it had 5200 miles on it....I changed the oil at 1451 to mobil 1 5w-30 syn.

After 2100 i took the car to 4500 to higher and i am hearing this noise from the engine....

Ok i had heard alot of noises but none like this....Its very faint and seems like everytime i go near 4200 i hear like a chi chi chi sound...almost like a chirping sound...

I was thinking it might be the intake or might just be a tc thing

or it might be vvt-i.....but i didnt think vvt-i made any sounds..

Any input is thankful...and no i never made post where i complained about noise so i know its not from a exterier car part...haha so dont make those assumptions, unless it makes a sound at higher rpms...

I will test it out more tomm....but as you can tell i have came along ways to 5200 without revving my car...

"Any input is thankful"

Your post might be less confusing if you edit it to make a distinction between RPM and mileage in the numbers you refer to.

i think the tC has a valve in the exhaust that opens up at higher RPMs to allow freer exhaust flow to increase power. what you're hearing could be because of this. if thats the case then its perfectly normal. does it always start making the noise at exactly the same RPM?

Yes it makes it at a certain rpm.....but also at different points.

I am sorry for the confusing topic...It is not a high pitch noise.but kind of sounds like a bov all muffled up.

could be number of things

take it to a dealer, test drive with them as you drive and when you hear it ask them if they hear anything....try and take a technician with you, helps
