Not actually, I'm sure he doesn't want to port a Sound quality sub. And Im sure he doesn't complete in sound pressure leagues. No reason to port it if he just wants Quality>Pressure.

 

X2 if he wanted loud he'd went with solo-barics or type-r's

 

Aye, I like listening to music, not setting off car alarms. Those two 10" JL's in that sealed box sound wonderful, and I can make 'em hurt if I really want to.

You guys have tons to learn if you think ported=spl

If you haven't heard a ported setup sound as good as a sealed setup, that speaks, IMO, more to the quality of the tuning and the integration of the midbass and sub rather than to a deficiency in the STYLE of box used.

 

quality box>tuning/amp a good sub/box will sound good on any amp

 

Truth. I'm running both of my JL's off of a single 300 W amp and it sounds great with the box they're in.

Just painted the calipers black to match the paint better. Next I'm thinkin about making some front and rear... uh, would you call them skirts? Lips? Just going to bolt a sheet a metal on the front and back. Drawing inspiration from this car:

its a rat-rod look, if you go through with that look go ***** deep, dont halfway do it, i mean rust hood/diamond stitch seats/flat paint/rust hood all the way

 

My car has been slowly alternating between 'rat rod' and 'clean import' over the years, and I've always enjoyed the rat rod style more. I think if I go and do the metal lips (and I'll do them in diamond-plate so it looks even rattier) I will definitely go all out. Especially because I think it would be a fun challenge to rat out a car that is usually riced out.

I'm a huge Mad Max fan.
